Birthplace of Salvatore Quasimodo

In a quiet alley a few steps from the Cathedral of San Pietro, there is the house where Salvatore Quasimodo was born in 1901. Transformed into a museum, the residence preserves the soul of the poet: the original study in Milan with his desk, the Olivetti typewriter and the period furniture transported here to recreate the environment in which some of his most famous works saw the light. The exhibition itinerary allows you to listen to the voice of the Nobel Prize winner reciting his lyrics, creating an emotional bridge between his land of origin and universal fame. It is a place of literary pilgrimage that is fundamental for understanding the visceral link between the Hyblaean landscape and Hermetic poetry.
