LOGISTIC PARAMETERS - Duration: Full day - Departure Point: Port of Pozzallo - Guide languages: Italian and English DESCRIPTION OF THE EXPERIENCE Paul was shipwrecked in Malta in 60 AD. (Acts 27-28) and remained there three months. The island is full of places dedicated to him. ITINERARY: - St. Paul's Bay (San Pawl il-Baħar) – Stop at the Buġibba/Qawra seafront to see the islet of Selmunett (St. Paul's Island) and the statue of St. Paul, where tradition places the shipwreck - Rabat – St. Paul's Cave – Visit to the cave under the Collegiate Church of St. Paul (it is believed that Paul lived there) and, next to it, the catacombs of St. Paul. Lunch Rabat/Mdina: many small Maltese restaurants in the area (we recommend trying the pastizzi or rabbit). - Mdina – St. Paul's Cathedral - A 5 minute walk from Rabat, the cathedral dedicated to the shipwreck and recovery of Publius. - Valletta – Church of St. Paul the Shipwrecked – the route ends in the capital (20-25 min by car/bus from Rabat) to see the church which houses the relic of St. Paul's wrist and the column of martyrdom.
