LOGISTIC PARAMETERS - Duration: 5/6 hours - Departure Point: Torre Cabrera - Guide languages: Italian and English DESCRIPTION OF THE EXPERIENCE A unique experience to discover the secrets of the aromatic and medicinal herbs of the Iblean Mountains following in the footsteps of Saint Paul to whom several important churches between Pozzallo and Ragusa are dedicated. ITINERARY: - Pozzallo: the footsteps of Saint Paul at the "Castello Di Martino" a building in a state of abandonment located on a hill facing the port. In a rough path you can notice two small hollows which, according to a legend, are "footprints" left by the knees of Saint Paul who, coming from Malta, stopped here to thank the Lord after a difficult navigation. - Visit to the MAT - Anthropological Museum of Testa dell'Acqua: an immersive journey into the history and culture of the Val di Noto. Conference on Paul the Apostle Healer: faith and popular medicine, organized by the naturalistic guide Paolino Uccello; - Botanical walk and guided trekking: we will explore the paths of the Iblean Mountains, immersed in uncontaminated nature, with the collection of aromatic and medicinal herbs - Tasting of aromatic herbs and preparation of specialties: we will discover the flavors and aromas of local herbs, with a unique culinary experience as well as medicinal herbs in popular culture, at the MAT. - Guided tour of Casa Nepeta: we will discover the world of liqueurs, bitters and spirits based on Nepitella and other Iblean aromatic herbs, with tasting on site.
