Palazzo Ducezio (Town Hall)

Located right in front of the Cathedral, Palazzo Ducezio owes its name to the legendary king of the Siculi. Designed in the 18th century with a convex facade enriched by twenty arches, the building represents the civil power that dialogues with the religious one. The real treasure is found on the main floor: the Hall of Mirrors, decorated with gilded stucco and large mirrors, recalls the splendor of European courts. From its terrace it is possible to admire the Cathedral from a privileged frontal perspective, capturing the millimetric harmony with which the city was rebuilt.
