Victorian Liberty Itinerary (Palazzo Iacono and surroundings)
Vittoria boasts one of the most coherent and fascinating Liberty heritages in south-eastern Sicily, creating a direct dialogue with the style of Pozzallo. The itinerary winds through the buildings of the agrarian bourgeoisie from the early 1900s, such as Palazzo Iacono, characterized by wrought iron balconies of rare craftsmanship and sculptural decorations in local stone. These buildings bear witness to the period of great economic ferment linked to the trade of wine and land products. Integrating this itinerary allows us to offer the visitor an alternative narrative to the classic baroque, celebrating the modernity, innovation and aesthetic taste of an era that profoundly marked the face of the city.
