Complex of Santa Maria della Croce

Perched on the Croce hill, this sixteenth-century foundation complex is a jewel of monastic architecture. Inside you can admire rare Byzantine frescoes and miraculously survived late-Gothic architecture. But the real treasure is the panoramic terrace: from here Scicli reveals itself in all its beauty, with its "quarries" that open like a fan and the golden stone that shines in the sun. It is the ideal point to end a tour, offering a perspective of peace and infinity that connects the sea of Pozzallo to the heart of the Iblean mountains.
