Portopalo di Capo Passero
Where the Ionian meets the Mediterranean, Portopalo celebrates the "bread of the sea". At the old port, fishermen offer the catch of the day cooked according to ancient traditions: sardines, mackerel and anchovies become the protagonists of a true feast. It is the triumph of poor cuisine that becomes excellence, among the colors of the ancient tuna fishery and the infinite horizon.
